Chapter 9: THE MAGIC POTION.
“Take a walk with me! Then you’ll feel better!” Scallop said to Indigo.
While taking a walk, Indigo suddenly felt a cold chill.
She remembered something she had forgotten to ask Scallop. “Scallop, why did you leave me in the park?” she asked.
“…Oh.” Scallop’s happy expression turned into a blank, shocked look.
“Never mind,” Indigo sighed.
“You’re right. It wasn’t like I betrayed you!” Scallop said.
But Indigo felt that something was suspicious.
Minutes later, Dr. Luminus called both friends over.
“Guys! Come with me. I will show you something.”
The two friends walked and walked down the hospital corridor until they arrived at a door that said “HATCHERY.”
Creaaakk!
“…” Scallop murmured softly. “…Humans!”
“Yep! We couldn’t find any reptiles, other animals, or dragons to work as nurses, so we called some people from my friend’s community!” Dr. Luminus said. “Red! Come here. I want to introduce my friends to your sisters.” She called out to someone.
“Dr. Luminusss!” A cute, tiny voice called out to Dr. Luminus.
A little fox-like girl with fiery red hair toddled over to Dr. Luminus. She was wearing a red dress, a bell necklace around her neck, and a yellow ribbon on her tail. “Hi, Indigo! Hi, Scallop! I’m Red! I’ll show you my sisters!”
Girls wearing the same clothes in different colors came out of the room with a sign that said “RAINBOW SISTERS’ PRIVATE ROOM.”
“These are my sisters: Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Pink,” Red said.
Each of the sisters told Indigo and Scallop what her name meant. “My name means ‘loyal’!” Red shouted.
“Mine means ‘always happy,’” Orange said.
“My name means ‘considerate,’” Yellow said.
“My name stands for ‘calmness,’” Green said quietly.
“Mine means ‘ambitious’!” Blue shouted.
“And mine means ‘kind,’” Pink said.
Indigo and Scallop listened to what their names meant and smiled.
“Wow! I didn’t know your names all had meanings!” Indigo said.
“Dr. Luminus, you know that I’m going to my cheerleading academy next week? It’s time for cheerleading tryouts. Will I be okay and perform without making any mistakes?” Yellow asked.
“Yep! I’m rooting for you, Yellow!” Dr. Luminus said.
